Halo has been a leader in industry for many years. Even more, Halo's SAS wheels have always been a powerhouse, yet the hubs failed from time to time. Finally, Halo's distributors provided a stronger rear hub. The new combination is unbeatable.
The 36mm-wide double-eyelet, double-jointed SAS Combat rim is incredible, and despite its heavy weight, it is almost indestructible. The 36 gauge spoke is quick and tight. Furthermore, Halo has a Pro freehub that's packs a punch. It is tougher and faster acting- basically performing as well as rear hubs.
The SAS Pro comes in 20in and 24in rim and 150mm rear hub adaptation, and the front hub is can be changed from quick release and 20mm axles.
Bottom line: Given the nature of the terrain, mountain bikers need the most durable bike wheel available, and Halo's SAS Pro is the solid option – with its SAS rim and a double system joint, the SAS Pro is built to last. Many have referred to the SAS Pro as "bombproof rims."
